MISSION STATEMENT

 AALA is dedicated to establishing the highest standards of excellence for assisted living professionals providing quality housing, assisted living and related services to Arkansas seniors.  AALA strives to insure the right of every Arkansas senior who needs daily assistance to receive the highest quality care in a choice-driven, dignified, safe and clean environment and to promote independence and maintain the highest quality of life.  We believe that our seniors should feel like they are “living in their own home.”

OBJECTIVES

§        To develop, promote and support quality educational programs, staff training and leadership opportunities for assisted living providers throughout the state.

 §        To encourage providers to employ the highest standards of quality, professionalism and administration in assisted living services.

 §        To work cooperatively with state regulating and funding agencies to ensure that the high standards of care embraced by AALA member facilities are not compromised.

 §        To actively represent assisted living providers’ interest in state regulatory issues.

 §        To increase public awareness about assisted living as the care setting of choice for seniors with community leaders, legislators and the media.

 §        To establish the standard in the assisted living industry through involvement in committees and work groups designed to enhance the representation efforts for assisted living.

 §        To help assisted living providers address relevant issues and challenges as they arise in this emerging industry.
